During construction there is an stage when the contractor is building the slabs and columns of the levels above the ground floor. Additionally there is no facade or installations yet, and it would be at least a year to begin the occupation. Some of the activities that are performed in this period generates dust in the slabs, like: concrete roughening. While this activity is performed or any other that can generate dust, the workers are using masks and there is crossed ventilation (no facade) so the dust is dispersed before it leaves the site
Does this activity is in the scope of this credit? Since it is not done indoor and there are not installations, sytems and occupants. Also the site is already stabilized. In case it does, can you provide me please some advice to decrease the dust generation for this activity.

Ilse, have you identified what SMACNA guidelines apply to this situation? What do they indicate?
The scope of the credit is for construction -- it doesn't solely focused on when the building is closed in.
