Agenda

2/26/20 Online Meeting (please join using your computer as there will be slides).

  1. Recap Discussion of November 2019 SCL Meeting Carbon Discussions
    • Why track carbon? Internal and External reporting requirements
    • Work by Conor and others done to date
    • Confirm Work Plan between now and July 2020
  2. Confirm what’s in / what’s out of our carbon tracking and reporting
    • Recap of scopes
    • Which scopes?  Type I, Type II, Type III, but just what we control?  Tracking subs or not?
    • Boundary definition ?
  3. Start the Discussion on Disclosure
    • Blind (anonymous) disclosure to just the SCL group?
      • Back up data provided or just summarized?
    • How is the data normalized?
      • Differences in company size and locations (i.e. multi-national vs one office); how are the fuel mixes from various power grids normalized?
      • Do we not normalize, report out the data as is and accept we will always have apples and oranges and not be able to directly compare
    • Identify leaders to research and report back on disclosure/normalization topics
  4. Tools and Guides for the SCL Group for Carbon:
    • Not reinventing the wheel – what tools and reporting standards already exist that we can adopt (completely or in part) to provide guidance and a framework for us?
      1. Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)?
      2. EPA calculator?
      3. Others?
    • Identify leaders to research and report back on disclosure/normalization topics
  5. Next Steps
    • Recap actions and who’s responsible
    • Scheduling of next call
    • Set interim deadlines between now and the July SCL meeting
