Another question regarding the baseline fan power calculation in the Tables 1.4 Excel spreadsheet:
Does the calculation account for the possibility of a Return Fan in the proposed system? If not, is there a way to credit that or does the proposed building always take a hit with powered exhaust and return fan energy? Thanks!

All of the fans are included in the Baseline fan power calculation. This is done independent of the proposed system fans. So there is no penalty per se.

Ok, so basically the baseline "supply fan" power calculation accounts for the possibility of a return or powered exhaust fan, regardless of it actually existing? I just want to be sure I'm not supposed to do a second baseline fan calculation for the return fan if the proposed system has a return fan.

G3.1.2.9 calculates the total baseline fan power allowance. This includes any supply, return, exhaust and relief fans associated with the baseline system.
Keep in mind that the baseline never actually gets designed and does not exist at all except in the model. You are not supposed to do a second calculation for the return fan as this would double count the fan power and overstate the baseline energy use.

Ok, got it. Thanks!
