We are working on a high-rise multi-family residential building. In reading the LEED v4.1 requirements, references for residential spaces have been removed. We are uncertain as to how these spaces (the apartments) should be dealt with in order to comply with this credit. Any guidance?

I would also like guidance on this; has anyone contacted LEED Coach?

I asked USGBC about this, specifically about whether we could substitute the v4.1 Multifamily credit. They said this was acceptable and that either one of the multifamily options would earn one point in NCv4. The Multifamily v4.1 version of this credit is much more suited to how our acoustic consultants review our design drawings and lighter on documentation than NCv4 or v4.1, so I expect we'll be following this path going forward.
I would recommend reaching out to LEED Coach to confirm this approach on your own projects, as they told me to provide a copy of the correspondence with my application.

We've had success with the same approach Emily outlined above of applying the acoustic credit from LEED for Multifamily to 4.1 projects. Always a good idea to confirm with LEED Coach, but there is precedent that this is acceptable.
