Looking for consensus on whether it is required for compliance with 62.1 for this prerequisite to provide ventilation for laundry rooms within dwelling units of a high-rise residential tower? I know there is a vent rate within table 6-1 for "laundry rooms within dwelling units" under the Hotel/Motel/Resort Dormitory cagetory. Interestingly, there is not a similar vent rate listed under the Residential cagegory. As we know, there are categories in table 6-1 for other spaces that can be considered unoccupiable, i.e. storage, electrical closets, etc. Which leads to my question of whether I need to consider a laundry room inside an apartment as "occupiable" or not? Thoughts? Others' experiences?

62.1 states that if a space is "only occupied ocassionally and for short periods of time" it not considered occupiable (definition of occupiable space). I'd say that laundry rooms in dwelling units fall under this exception and therefore are not required to be ventilated.
