On this webpage in EAc5, I read that there are "Commonly metered systems", including lighting , motors, HVAC loads etc. In my case a part of items in this list seem not helpful on the model caliberation in the future but noted "required". For instance, the VFD operations - Required, and HVAC Systems, equipment, and controls – Required, etc. I don't think I can use these data for my model caliberation process. In a thread it is said that the LEED-CI 2009 has used the old version LEEDNC2.2 to explain the credit and now lists out all the requirments for submetering. Is this list valid now? Do I have to follow this list -although I am not quite sure what it is exactly about VFD Operations and how it is metered. Currently in my M&V plan I am just able to measure by energy end uses like lighting, plug, process, etc, which can be compared directly with my simulation results .

Based on the IPMVP there are no requirements for any permanent metering. I cannot address the list above as I did not write it, however, your M&V Plan must include a thorough description of the data acquisition strategies for getting the data you will need to calibrate your model. If your metering is set up to directly measure or derive all of the energy end uses from your model this part of your M&V Plan should be covered.
