In a CI tenant finish-out, if existing interior partitions are demolished and new interior partitions are constructed in an original configuration (not matching to the demolished partition layout), would the interior walls be excluded from the calculation or would the new walls be considered 'replacement' for the demolished walls?

I have the same question. Example 1 in the reference guide indicates that a demolished wall that is "not replaced" is excluded from the credit calculation. Does that mean not replaced in the same location, or not replaced with a new wall built anywhere in the space?

I have been pouring through this, and based on some of Tristan's prior responses, as well as my past experience with review teams, I believe that if a wall if not rebuilt in the exact same location, then it is a new wall and would not count.
That said, I am not clear on what happens if say, you are demolishing the existing floor surface, and subsurface, taking the floor down to an original tile surface, then adding a layer of a new material back on top of it. Is that new material considered a replacement?
