REMINDER: SCL Salary Survey - Your Response Needed

Hi everyone – just a friendly reminder that the salary survey is ANONYMOUS – there is no way to tell who submitted what info.  All your data gets aggregated with everyone else’s and adjusted for cost of living, so there is absolutely no way to identify any individuals.  Having been through this process with the Sustainable Design Leaders, I can tell you this survey is HUGELY beneficial.  When they published the results I could see that I was embarrassingly underpaid relative to my peers, and was able to use that information to get my compensation adjusted.  But – it only works if everyone participates and we collect a good sample set, so PLEASE participate.  I’ve been kindly provided with a snapshot from a past SDL salary survey so you can get a flavor for the types of data you’ll get in return for participating – you’ll see from the image that the gender pay gap is alive and well!  Remember – you only get these results if you participate! On another note, we’re closing the demographics survey within the week so you have one last chance to participate if you haven’t yet.  Thanks to everyone who participated so far!  If your company name is below pat yourselves on the back, and if not you still have a tiny bit more time!  These survey results will be released soon after the survey closes.

Sorry for any confusion - in trying to only send one email on two subjects I think I inadvertently complicated things.  With two surveys currently open - the demographics survey and the salary survey - I was posting the list of companies who filled out the demographics survey which closes next week. Separately, for those who have taken or are going to take the salary survey, make sure after you finish filling out the survey to put your name into the separate google form to let Building Green know you took the salary survey so they can send you the aggregated results once complete.  Hope that helps to clarify!  Thanks everyone for your participation.

*LAST CHANCE FOR ROMANCE*  The Salary Survey is set to close TODAY.  With about 1/3rd of the group having responded, I am sure we can do better.  The better the sample size, the better the data.  I'm telling you, this information is so helpful for us to quantify our value to the industry and use informed leverage in our own compensation conversations.  But, you only get the results if you participate!  So if you want the data, please do your part and make your anonymous submission, and DON'T FORGET to use the Google form to submit to Building Green that you took the survey otherwise they won't know that you did it. Good afternoon folks - The salary survey will close on Wednesday, 4/10. If it feels like I'm being a nuisance it's only because I think you might kick yourself later for not participating... especially if you've ever tried to advocate for yourself in a compensation conversation only to find out that there is no good comparison on the internet or sites like Glass Door for the work we do. Also, only those that fill out the salary survey and then fill out the web link stating that you completed it will get the information from the salary survey - so, please...  Use this link to complete the survey. Yes, we've been processing the results, making sure they're anonymized sufficiently. Should have them ready to share next week!
