I am about to register for a new project. I was going to register it under LEED BD+c v4.0 but it seems that v4.1 is also available, so i don't know which to choose, bearing in mind that there is no reference guide for LEED BD+c v4.1 till now

You can register for LEED BD+C V4.0 and substitute any v4.0 credits by V4.1 (https://www.usgbc.org/articles/substitute-any-leed-v4-credit-leed-v41). There are lots of online resources available for LEED v4.1 at USGBC website (https://new.usgbc.org/leed-v41#bdc) which may be helpful if you decide to register for V4.1. Thanks.

Thank you very much, do you know when will the reference guide for BD+C 4.1 be released?

I am not exactly sure when the Reference Guide for BD+C 4.1 will be released. But there is LEED v4.1 Building Design and Construction Getting started guide for beta participants ( April 2019) available online at USGBC website. I think this will be more helpful if you decide to register project under v4.1. Mostly guidance sections are referred to v4 and beta updates are available. You can see the timeline for progress of beta versions at https://www.usgbc.org/articles/preview-leed-v41-drafts. Probably best will be to sign up USGBC email list for latest updates. Thanks.

I definitely recommend registering as v4 and then substituting the v4.1 credit you intend on utilizing. That way you aren't required to implement v4.1 that potentially hurt you/have slightly changed/updated requirement. The BPDO credits are definitely easier in v4.1, but other prereq/credits update to newer versions of ASHRAE or have slightly changed calcs that could affect your project negatively if they weren't in mind at the beginning of the project.
