NC-v4 LTc7:Reduced parking footprint

Reduced parking footprint for College/University

The project is a single building which is part of a larger educational campus. There is no parking designed for this building but staff and faculty will be using a parking garage 0.5 mile away from building inside the campus. To calculate the base ratio, should I use whole campus' occupancy or just this building's? Also, the ITE guidebook reference table inside the LEED v4 reference book shows different number than ITE guidebook. Which table to use for base ratio calculations?

Dear GreenShape, Good question, as the reference guide does not provide a lot of clear answers here! The base ratios provided in the reference guide say "School Population: students, faculty, and staff", so I would make the assumption that LEED would require all students, faculty and staff to be included in the calculations for the whole campus, rather than just the building, as long as the parking garage in question serves the entire campus. If there is additional parking around the campus that the students, faculty or staff may use in order to get to the project building, be sure to include those as well. For your second question, I would recommend using the table in the reference guide, because the credit language references it specifically in Step 2 of their Step-by-Step guidance. I hope that helps!
