Our project needs to close out and must submit the documentation to LEED for final construction. However, we are still possibly waiting on a large PV array which may be in the works through a PPA. This would possibly put us into the next Certification Level. Is there a way for the project to resubmit at a later date for these points? It would be a shame for something as silly as an extended negotiation stand in the way of a hard working school district obtaining their well earned certification. Thanks!

Kerrie, the easiest thing would simply be to delay your final submittal until you have the PV. GBCI will likely allow this if you contact them to ask permission. Not the easiest option, but definitely a good idea, is to pursue LEED-EBOM certification on your constructed building. This is a whole new process, but is a great idea for translating from green during design/construction to operations. But what I thikn you really want to do is to reopen the same application and add in the PV. This is not normally done and you'd need to see if GBCI would allow it. I can think of some reasons they would not, but if it's important you could give it a shot.
