Rater and Provider requirements?

Unless that's changed in v4 (and I don't remember seeing that when I reviewed it), then yes.

The question was not answered. Does 4.0 MF require that it is registered by a LEED Provider? Is there a HERS rater? Is there a green rater?

All Homes/Midrise projects must contract with a LEED Green Rater. And LEED Green Raters are required to work with a Quality Assurance Provider. But the project doesn’t necessarily need to contract directly with the Provider.

A qualified energy rater is also required for Midrise projects. This role is almost always the same person/firm as the Green Rater organization.

Thank you Ann - I was also confused about what the role the Provider was on projects, you have answered that. Do you know how an organisation becomes a Provider?

Hi Ann, We are not a Provider, however we have been the firm for many LEED NC Mid-rise/highrise multi-family projects under LEED NC. So that I understand: As we are not a LEED H "Provider", can we still register a project under LEED H Midrise, for our clients, then contract the Green Rater ourselves? 

Lastly, if we have a Green Rater on staff. Let me understand what we can and cant provide for LEED for Homes Midrise. Thank you!
