Rainwater Harvesting / Domestic Hot Water

1) Does rainwater harvesting count as a sub system to be metered?

2) Does metering the domestic hot water system mean tracking water usage or energy usage?

Hi Michael, The intent of this credit is all about managing water use, and the requirements starts by saying that you have to use water meters. So I would say that: 1. No, rainwater harvesting doesn't count. You have to meter water consumption/use systems. 2. Metering the DHW is about tracking water use, not energy.
