NC-v4 WEc4:Water metering

Is "rainwater collected" considered "reclaimed water"?

Is "rainwater collected" considered "reclaimed water", I am very confused because according to the LEED guide definition, "reclaimed water" is like a kind of treated and purified wastewater. So, do I have the possibility of qualifying this rainwater as"reclaimed water"?

Hi Sara, A project example in https://www.usgbc.org/sites/default/files/2020-04/LEED-Metering-Guidance.pdf show that the project team complies with LEED water metering requirements, one of them, by installing a permanent submeter for the captured rainwater harvesting system that supplies reclaimed water to the project's flush fixtures. Therefore, follow LEED guide definition, the rainwater can qualify as reclaimed water as long as the rainwater has been treated and purified for reuse.
