I have following question concerning the process of preliminary and final review.
So I have this understanding: Once the documentation is completed you pay the certification fees and you get an preliminary review. That means that you get some comments about your documentation on the specific credits.
Concerning the Final review:
- Is there a timeline restriction about how many days after you get the preliminary review, you have to submit the final review?
- Is it possible that you submit some additional credits for the final review, which weren’t submitted during the preliminary review?

1. There is not necessarily a strict timeline for how long after a preliminary review you should submit for the final. Obviously if things are changing in the design, that would be cause for some delay in resubmitting. However, definitely clearly highlight any of these changes in the resubmitted documentation. I would also suggest providing a narrative response to all pending comments.
2. Yes, you can submit prerequisites/credits for the first time in a final review - assuming they are applicable to that phase - you obviously will not be able to submit construction phase credits in the Design Final. Design credits submitted for review for the first time in the Design Final review will still get two rounds of review (with the DF being the first round and then the second being in either the CP or CF depending on when you resubmit it). If you do a combined review (not broken out into Design and Construction phases), you will not automatically get a second round of review for prereqs/credits submitted in the Final review. However, reviewers will send a mid-review clarification for any prerequisites and will likely send one for any credit that is at least close to being awarded (if a calculation is slightly off or there is just a missing document).
