we are pursuing LEED HC for a health clinic on a university campus where there is no in-patient population and no out-patient population meeting the description or length of stay indicated in the requirements section. Is it acceptable to achieve this credit by providing the required SF of respite with direct access to out-patients such students visiting a health clinic?

Norma - My feeling is that they would no allow this. The credit language talks about inpatients and long term out patients. If your students are there over 4 hours, then yes. You could still look at SSc9.1 for staff. Susan
