We are working on a project with ample PV on site, and are hoping it could count as cover for long term bike parking. My only hesitation with this is that there will likely be small gaps between panels (we can't do a full roof surface since that may increase our FAR and would likely require sprinklers, etc). Has anyone successfully used PV canopies as cover over long term bike parking?

Hi Ryan,
The requirement for long-term bicycle storage is to protect bicycles from rain and snow. Therefore, as long as the small gaps can still protect bicycles from rain and snow (maybe cover small gaps with additional material), it is supposed to be acceptable.

Ryan, can you give us an update? Was the PV accepted as long term shelter?
Thanks!
