Hello all,
we are in a process of product release for a project, and we have lots of products with a Blue Angel Label, which is LEED conform for VOC content. What we do not have, and can not find, are specific documents like a certificate in PDF from Blue Angel to use as proof of compliance, there is only the mark on the Data Sheet and it is listed in the Blue Angel official website.
Would a link to the product on the label's website be enough for compliance, if the Label is one of "LEED Acceptable Labels"?
100s of products in this case are to be released and chance of getting a certificate from each manufacturer individually is pretty low and time consuming.
What are your thoughts?

I'm interested in this as well. I've been of the mindset that we must have the certificate, and would be nice if there is an exception for specific labels.

Seconding that my experience has always been that you must provide the certificate, and I'd love to hear if anyone has found an alternative.
In any case, I would strongly recommend grabbing screenshots of the products on the label website in case the certificaion expires or the link breaks before you submit for review. The one danger of linking to the listing is that the listing is out of your control and can disappear.

Went through something similar last year. Have you had any conversations with the manufacturer's of the products to see if they have any documentation or correspondance from the labs that did the testing that supports the label?
I think the issue with a label only approach is that the credit language is clear about requirements around expiration dates or validity of a test based on it's issuance date. A label doesn't provide that information. If it did or there was another form of documentation that garners a date, I would think that would strengthen the label.

@Randi B. yes, we have contacted some manufacturers in the past, and in our experience, some were really helpful, but many do not even answer, or, they respond with unrelevant answers/documents and call it a day, we never hear back from them again.
All in all, one would expect them to have lab results and be willing to share these unless they write missinformation on product data sheets, after all, the ones with clear certifications are the ones we always go back to and suggest them for future projects. :D :D
