So we have an interior fit out project where we can only comply with the Indoor Water Use Reduction prerequisite and not the credit. Since we are only complying with the prerequisite via prescriptive path, we don't need to work on the usage based calculator that would ask for project occupancy. But now, all of a sudden, the LEED Online form for the prerequisite asks for the project occupancy regardless of whether you choose prescriptive path or usage-based calculation?
Why should project occupancy affect prescriptive path compliance, that should only be used for usage based calculation since that help weigh the amount of usage by the amount of occupants!
Has anyone else encountered the same issue? Was it easy to just explain in the Special Circumstances section that since we are only following prescriptive path, we do not need to fill out project occupancy?
I appreciate any assistance.
