I’m starting to realize that it will be hard to find Energy Star rated equipment in Sweden. Computers – no problem, but for fridges, dishwashers etc we use the European EU energy rating system. If it turns out that I can’t purchase Energy Star appliances here it must be ok with the European energy rating right? Should I start with a CIR? Has anybody done Commercial Interiors in Europe? Here is some info on the European energy rating: http://www.energimyndigheten.se/en/Energy-efficiency/Household/Other-energy-consumption-in-your-home/Energy-labelling/The-energy-rating-on-fridges-freezers-and-washing-machines-is-now-being-updated/

Ruling
The project should pursue the prerequisite using the standard approach, identifying all equipment that has actually achieved an Energy Star rating as such, and identifying all local Chinese products that meet the Energy Star criteria as Energy Star equipment. Backup must be provided showing that these Chinese products meet the Energy Star criteria.
Formal Inquiry:
For a project located in China, where there is limited availability of Energy Star equipment, is it acceptable to use products that meet the same criteria as Energy Star products, or to use the "China Energy Label" standards for determining product equiva

Sorry for being a bit slow here, just double checking: This means that there is no need for a CIR then, and that as long as I show that the EU Energy Rating System (European system) is at least as stringent then the equipment rated with the European system can be counted toward the prerequisite and the credit (EAc1.4)? Is this right?
Thank you!
This is right.
I think Bill picked the wrong LI number, though the text is correct.
