Our project is a LEED v4/v4.1BD+C new central cooling plant which uses geothermal for cooling on a university campus. Besides the plant, the building has office areas for the operators of the plant and the facilities group and their shop and storage. The building itself will be cooled by the plant's geothermal system. The baseline system is a chiller. I have looked at v4 with alternate compliance path and v4.1 for no cooling tower. The Owner purposely did not want a chiller in an effort to reduce water use and carbon footprint. Credit language is a little vague for our situation--can we achieve this credit with the project as the plant itself? Thanks for any help you can provide.
