Greetings. This is more of a LEED for Retail question pertaining to modeling a commercial kitchen. More specifically it is about entering process load results into the LEED EAp2 template's Section 1.6 Table EAp2-4, along the lines of refrigeration, cooking, commercial kitchen equipment etc.
The catch-22 we're facing while using eQuest is: If process load input is broken down as direct load on different meters, it captures consumption separately but does not contribute to space heating and cooling loads. If process load is input into respective HVAC zones, the results are all lumped into one 'miscellaneous equipment' category.
We do have detailed schedules and kW values for each piece of equipment but the difficulty is with outputting these categories separately while maintaining the accuracy of the model.
Please advise. Thank you.

Rather than entering the load as a direct load on separate meters, the loads should be entered into the applicable spaces and then assigned to a different meter. The loads are assigned within the internal loads and the meters are assigned within the air-side HVAC zones. This will separate the energy use and still contribute to the heating and cooling loads. Quite often we will create a separate meter for the kitchen electric uses and another for the kitchen gas uses.
