We are having the same problem working on a building where 48% of the annual energy usage is process load from computers, screens and tv’s. the project is a federal building required to buy energystar or FEMP equipment. The energy star website provide a TOOL "savings estimate for energy star qualified office Equipment" that is showing 30% energy reduction from conventional office equipment. Is this tool adequate to show the energy reduction in the process load or other data will need to be provided?

I suppose in my case I could check off the box for "does not suppport the primary building tyoe of the project building". Maybe you can too? I await other input from the forum.

Yes the Energy Star calculator is acceptable to use for showing process energy savings related to office equipment.
