EBOM-2009 EAp3:Fundamental Refrigerant Management

Process Equipment Refrigerant

I have a school building with an old walk-in coolers/freezers used in the Kitchen. Those do have CFC refrigerant. Those type of equipment are only listed/noted in the EA-C5 and NOT in the EA-P3. Are we safe to exempt those equipment from compliance to EA-P3?

The content of CFC is more important than the unit / system contain CFC. If that unit contains no less than 0.5 pounds of regrigerant, it shall not be exempted unless it is under different management (e.g. manufacture). LEED EBOM allows up to 10% exemption if managemet / owner difference.
