Our project has several spaces with electric transformers where we are using an exhaust fan and an outside air louver to relieve the heat loss from the transformer. Should this energy usage be calculated separately from the simulation and noted as process energy?

It is a process load and you could either model it or include it in the model. If calculated separately be sure to explain this to the reviewer since your energy modeling results in the LEED from will not match your energy modeling output reports.

Thanks. I'm using HAP and I can estimate the annual energy for the fans with a separate calculation then add that total into the HAP model as a Miscellaneous Electric Load noted as process energy. Or I can try to simulate the process in HAP, but then it won't be counted as a process load.
