NC-v4 WEc1:Outdoor water use reduction

Process Crop or Landscaping?

Good afternoon -

I have a project with a 1 acre crop in the LEED boundary.  It is a research/education component for the facility.  The project is pursuing No Irrigation for the remainder of the site/landscaped area.  However, this crop will require irrigation in times of extreme dry weather.  How is the 1 acre viewed: process or landscaped area?

Per the reference guide "food gardens may be excluded". I'd expect that you would be able to exclude your crops from credit requirements.  Good Luck!
