I am submitting a LEED CI project in a multi-tenant building and would like to get the points. I understand that if we are to go that route we need to include the fixtures that are in both the tenant space and the common building restrooms. In this tenants space there is a private restroom with fixtures (water closet/sink) that are more efficient than the fixtures in the common area restrooms. We are also stating that the employees will use the private restroom instead of the common area restroom. Will I need to include the fixture detail for the fixtures in the common area restroom if I am proposing that they will not be used? Also, there is a shower in the building that will be used by the tenants. This shower is high efficiency and I would like to include this in the fixture group. Will it be ok for me to go this route?

Garrett, how do you know that tenants won't use the common area restroom? I think you would be hard-pressed to make that argument unless it was physically blocked off, or quite distant compared with the private one.Typically WEp1 covers fixtures within the project scope, and WEc1 covers all fixtures used by tenants. So I would include the shower.

Hi Tristan - This is a fairly small office and most people in the office use the internal restroom. My question really is, should I include the common area restroom fixtures and reduce the amount of uses? I'm thinking this may be the way to go. What are your thoughts? Thank you for the response.
