Hi.
We are doing a school building Energy modelling. In this school building we used FCU+ DOAS system. DOAS unit has (1) merv 13 for both OA and EA (2) DOAS has ER device and heat pipes.
In baseline, I created five systems, three are System 5 and two of them are system 3.
(1)Per ASHRAE 90.1 2007, I dont need Energy recovery device in the baseline. So can I take PDC for Energy recovery device and Heat pipe for ventilation air?
Or I can take PDC for Energy recovery device and heat pipes only when I have ERV in the baseline.
(2) If I can take PDC then okay but if I cant then is there any way to consider this PD in baseline?

(1) No, according to the footnote to Table G3.1.2.9 you can only include pressure drop adjustments for heat recovery devices which are required in the Baseline by Section G3.1.2.10
(2) No, essentially you get to take the credit for the recovered thermal energy but you need to pay the fan energy penalty that goes along with it
