NC-2009 IEQc8.1:Daylight and Views—Daylight

Prescriptive Method: Skylights

Hello, We are pursuing the Prescriptive Method for this credit, using skylights. I am not sure how to answer the first two measurements requested on the LEED form (the distance between floor and ceiling & the maximum distance between skylights in any direction) because we have skylights in three different zones with different ceiling heights and distances between skylights. Thank you, Lucia

Lucia, You may need to check the new updated requirement. USGBC revised and corrected the previous mistakes in the prescriptive approach that will impact your case. If you still have any questions, let me know.

Thank you Eddy. I've read through the addenda for this credit and am not finding anything helping me decide what value to enter for: distance between floor + ceiling and max distance between skylights in any direction, since we have skylights in various parts of the building. Do you mean the actual LEED Online Form has been updated? We are using LEED 2009. Some credits use Form Version V02 and some use Form Version V03. This credit uses V02. Should I update this to V03? I appreciate your advice.

Lucia, In xls from USGBC, I can't find any questions about the distance. Can you send me the screenshot to my email, please? Typically, the prescriptive calculation will not care about the distance between skylights but it concerns about the daylit area.

I've just emailed you the screenshot. Thank you Eddy. I really hope our project can get this credit.

It looks like your form is from older version since it still has "beta". You can download the newer one.
