Is 2% of total parking spaces for EVSE vehicles required to be preferred parking or can be any parking spaces. Green Vehicles credit language doesnot mention about this. However, related credit tips in Green vehicles credit mentions a total 5% + 2% = 7% preferred parking is required in Green vehicles credit and another 5% as required in reduced parking footprint credit.

Do the alternative fueling stations need to be in a preferred location? No, only the 5% of preferred parking spaces must be in an optimal location for building users. The EV charging stations or other alternative fuel stations may be anywhere onsite. These stations have no location requirements.
