good morning,
I would like to ask a question with two sections.
If a CS project has been precertified as platinum in a previous rating system (ie Version 2.0 ) :
a) Can the final certification be less ie Gold
b) Does the final certification have to be in LEED V4 or LEED 2009 or it can also be certified in previous LEED ratings?
Thanx in advance

Hello Ioannis,
We haven't faced any of these cases in our projects but as far as I know I think it's like this:
a) A C&S project is awarded a LEED certification depending only on its performance after the final certification review. A precertification is meant for marketing reasons, and that means a LEED Platinum precertification can finally get a LEED Gold certification.
b) A project that is registered in a version can always be upgraded to a newer version during certification assessment but not vice versa. Projects registered in v2009 (version3) can continue using this version and I remember I've read that both v3 and v4 will be overlapping for a couple of years before v4 will take over for all new registrations.
Good luck!
