Possible exemptions for projects with Customs and Border Protections section of building?

Our project is currently having issues qualifying for this credit due to federal code requirements for the CBP section of the building. Is it possible for this section of the project to be exempt if the rest of the building complies with the credit requirements?

I'm afraid it just means that your project isn't eligible for this credit. We have the same issue with secure areas in Fed projects that are not allowed to have windows.
Are you eligible for the ID strategy for Daylight and/or Views in non-regularly occupied spaces?
