In what category would this product be? The GC can't place it.
Blue Magic Pipe Thread Compound: an all purpose, non-seizing industrial grad thread sealing compound that produces a leakproof seal on all types of plastic and metal threaded connections. Example would be a gas line that has threaded connections. This compound gets applied before the pipes are connected. Kind of like a loctite for screws.

I would apply it under #1168 Architectural Sealant, but with a VOC content of 310 g/l, I would ask your GC to look for another product. I have had many plumbing trades using the green line readily available through IPEX.

John-David, I have a similar problem and cannot find the product you have indicated on the IPEX catalog. What is the name of the product?
