Our project is pursuing the pilot credit “Prevention through Design”.
Operation & Maintenance:
We review safety features for building systems and equipment on all projects. Typically, we consult latest OSHA requirements and applicable building codes and regulations. It was helpful to use the Pilot Credit worksheet to help us to identify the issues and work on the solutions throughout the design and construction of the project.
Construction:
The project delivery method is Design-Build and we had an opportunity from the programming stage to get the construction safety feedback. On the traditional Design-Bid-Build projects it feels like the “baseline” portion of the form is something that the design team needs to work on (and cross reference in the project manual) to ensure that the General Contractor and Sub-Contractors have a clear understanding of the project requirements.
