EBOM-v4 EQc9:Integrated pest management

Pest management

I am working on the project where it is difficult to use SF Tier-3 pesticide as per the LEED Norms. Project is currently using CIB (Central Insecticides Board) which is the apex organization for controlling use of any pesticides. Project is using Government of India Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare approved pesticide. can i eligible to take this credit.

Hi Vishesh, As far as I can see, there has not been an approved Alternate Compliance Path for this credit that allows the use of the Government of India Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare approved pesticide list. My advice would be to check the pesticide you are using against the PRI Pesticide Product Evaluator found here: http://www.pesticideresearch.com/site/evaluator/ If your pesticide is not listed in this website, I would classify it as non-least toxic for purposes of LEED. Accordingly, ensure integrated pest management strategies are employed on the project site, so the project can avoid the use of pesticides as much as possible. I hope this helps!

Do we have an ACP for projects in Europe? Our building is in Ireland, if we include Europe Regulation instead of US on pesticides we are compliant right?
