In accordance with the requirements of this credit, the project team has developed and will implement a water-efficient landscape stategy. The project is aiming for Option 2, No Potable Water Use or Irrigation, by excluding permanent irrigation systems and by using plants suited for low water usage, only. On dry days, a drip irrigation system, which is permanently installed onto the soil, will be activated through moisture sensors for watering the plants and trees. It is unclear if the installed drip system will contradict with the requirements for this credit. What experience do you have with this type of irrigation considering GBCI review? Does a drip irrigation system not count as permanent irrigation system?

Andreas, a drip irrigation system may be efficient, but it is one type of permanent irrigation system.

Hi Tristan, thx for quick response. When it is fed solely by collected rain water, may this help? Should we go then with Option 2, Path 1?
