I am working on a project which consists of mainly a large converted warehouse into an event-based performance space. The space will not be conditioned (heated or cooled) since it is an old building and the project is in a temperate climate zone. Question: is this performance space considered regularly occupied space in LEED terms? Thank you for your input.

A space is defined as regularly occupied where people sit or stand to work. In the past, performance spaces and auditorium spaces have not been exempt from daylight credit unless you can prove presence of daylight would be detrimental to activities to be carried out in the space.
On another note, please be certain the project is eligible for LEED 2009. As stated in LEED NC 2009 rating system minimum project requirements, a project can pursue some IEQ credits only if it serves a minimum of 1 FTE as an annual average to be calculated per LEED definition.

What are people's thoughts on conference room that is use 1 hr per week? Techinically the occupants sit and work/meet, but it's only for a 1 hour meeting per week. Anyone have past results with a similar situation?

Conference rooms are considered regularly occupied. The counter argument to it only being used per 1 hour per week is that there is always the possibility that it can and will be used for longer periods of time. An argument that video projections will be used and daylight is detrimental is also not feasible since it is not the only activity in the space.
