Homes-v4 EAc3:Advanced utility tracking

Performance Path method

Hi there,

I have a project that is considering putting solar panels on their 2 storey apartment complex (Homes Lowrise). According to the language in the credit, if they were to include PV upfront then they would be ineligible to achieve this credit because they would be achieving the EA Renewable Energy Credit. However, under the performance path method, the Renewable Energy credit does not exist. Is it still ineligible under this path?

Thanks,

Tim

Tim, This one looks tricky! I think it is worth clarifying with GBCI, although it might be hard to make the case that it is "solar ready" if it already has PV. Hmmm....

Tim, Under the performance path method, the Renewable Energy credit does not exist because the PV production is being accounted for in the HERS Index score. It is still ineligible for Active Solar-Ready Design in the performance pathway. Carissa
