Hello!

I am working with a state agency who is interested in exploring performance contracting (primarily energy focus, but not necessarily limited to...) and it's been a while since I had heard of others implementing this (GSA, some universities).

Do any of you out there know of current/recent owners executing performance contracts? I'd like to connect my folks w others who have been down the road already so they can share lessons learned (my folks are focused more on the construction aspect than the design aspect for PC)

Barbra, In the NW, a provider of performance based contracting for energy management & facilities management that I've heard mentioned most frequently is McKinstry, but haven't heard anything from the client/ owner side. Perhaps others on this list might be more familiar. Not much more than a breadcrumb, but hope that helps.

Barbra – Sorry for the late reply on this. Do you still need contacts? In addition to work with the GSA, we’ve done work with the states of Washington and California, both of which have attempted performance contracting, though at least in the latter case (and I believe somewhat in the former), rolled back the requirements – which could provide interesting lessons learned, though.
