Would pellets made of mill residue be considered as renewable for this credit considering the fabrication process of pellets involves a chemical and/or physical treatment? So in a sense is is not "untreated"

There was a recent interpretation (#10300) on qualifying wood waste. For pellets to qualify you would need to demonstrate that the source of the wood qualifies and it is essentially untreated. Untreated does not appear to be well defined. I think it primarily means that you can't burn treated wood and does not necessarily refer to any treatment". I could not find an interpretation on the subject so I would suggest you submit one before counting on acceptance.
