Passive House Continuing Ed suggestions?

Hi All,

I will be catching up on learning units over Thanksgiving weekend and I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the challenge of credential maintenance of their CPHD? Ideally we would have a client go for Passive House accreditation on a project, but lacking that, how are folks maintaining their 20 credits per year? For example, a given course that awards 24 AIA credits will only award 12 Passive House credits. We are currently looking at spending thousands on credential maintenance per person plus a significant time investment. Happy to connect directly.

Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Amy, it probably doesn't help you right now unfortunately, but one way I manage this is I have a standing weekly hour reserved on my calendar for a GreenHome Institute webinar. It is always at 12pm ET on Wednesdays, they have good content, and it is free if you attend live (pay if you want to access later - I think you have to become a paying member to access their backlog of webinars). So far, all sessions I have attended have offered 1 Phius CPHC CEU. I don't attend every week, but if I attend at least once per month on average, I am able to get 12 per year and 36 total for the 3-year Phius period. This is my best hack - I don't know how it translates to PHN/CPHD CEU reporting, but maybe worth checking them out. I learned the hard way that catching up in the last few months before re-cert is due is expensive (especially when they cancel the conference for the year, which was the other surefire way to get 36 credits in one shot for Phius). So, I've gotten better about making sure I attend monthly to keep things free where possible.  https://greenhomeinstitute.org/education/ Sign up for the mailing list and every Tuesday you will receive the description of the Wednesday session and have the opportunity to register for free.
