I've been searching through the reference guide but I cannot find a direct answer. My question is, can we also catalog paints and coatings into the Materials and Resources Calculator? I've been getting submittals for paints and coatings for BPDO credit compliance and VOC content compliance. But none of the submittal data for the paints or coatings comply with MR credit 3 - 7. Should I still add construction cost for these items in the calculator or not?

Edgar, since you mentioned BPDO credits, I'm not clear on whether this is a v4 project or a v2009 project. Can you clarify?

It's somewhat of a mix of both. The cost of those items DOES need to be included in your Total Materials Costs for the products that are typically specified in the LEED-applicable divisions (so the first tab). However, we typically DO NOT list these products in the actual sustainable products list (second tab) as they have such limited contributions to the various MRc3-7 credits. It typically is not worth our time to break those out in a line-item basis as they have either no or very limited sustainable attributes. So we instead focus on the more expensive and/or higher content items rather than chase all of the lower achievements related to the IEQc4.1/IEQc4.2 items within MRc3-7.
