I've been searching through the reference guide but I cannot find a direct answer. My question is, can we also catalog paints and coatings into the Materials and Resources Calculator? I've been getting submittals for paints and coatings for BPDO credit compliance and VOCcontent compliance. But none of the submittal data for the paints or coatings comply with MR credit 3 - 7. Should I still add construction cost for these items in the calculator or not?

Yes, the overall construction cost used in the MR calculator should include everything in divisions 3-10 (and 12 if including any furniture...and 31, 32 for site-related items) in order to show the true percentages of compliance for the various MR credits.
For note, I occasionally have paints/coatings/adhesives/sealants that do have recycled content or regional materials, so you might get lucky and have them contribute, too.
As long as your total construction cost includes everything, you also do not need to track every single item in those divisions. I have had many projects target the biggest cost items that have the most influence over the MR credits until they got a safe range above the threshold in order to save on the labor it takes to track everything on large-scale projects.
