Hi, I am working on a WELL project which has registered for LEED v4 ID+C. Is there a document or study which can summarize overlap between LEED and WELL and points that can be earned automatically from LEED and transferred to WELL ?

Hi Nirwair,
There is some information on the WELL Building Reference Guide, WELL has several credits that align with LEED, Breeam, and Living Building Challenge.
You can also find some more detailed information here: https://standard.wellcertified.com/well-crosswalks

Thanks, I have follow up question for crosswalks.
WELL feature 02: smoking ban part (c): The hazards of smoking, in all areas beyond 7.5m of the building entrances (if smoking is permitted in this areas). These signs are to be placed along all walkways with a distance of not more than 30 m [100 ft] between signs.
This is not part of LEED pre-requisite, tobacco smoke control: hazard of smoking signage is not stated anywhere.
But in cross walk both these are stated equivalent, so do we need to submit additional document for hazard signage ?

Dionisio, since WELL v1 has Q2 update but crosswalks document has not been updated, so does it mean still providing LEED document will be fine or additional document stating compliance with WELL Addenda's are also required?

Hi - There is an overlap between LEED and WELL for Part 2's (A) and (B) requirements.
Part 2's (C), the hazards of smoking, are a WELL only requirement. Include the signage for your WELL certification. You will not need to demonstrate the hazards of smoking signage in your LEED application.

Thanks Michael, I appreciate your response. For my project, we are planning to file LEED first and later for WELL. As you mentioned Part 2's (c) not required in LEED correct.
But since in cross walks both feature 2 and Tabaco smoke control pre-requisite from LEED are considered equivalent and providing only LEED award can earn this WELL feature or additionally we have to show compliance with part (c) which is not in LEED?

Is your WELL project registered as an Interiors project? Note that Part 2 of Feature 2 is not applicable to New and Existing Interior projects.
If not a WELL Interior project, I think it's safe to assume you'll have to demonstrate this non-LEED requirement for your WELL certification. The WELL Assessor will be looking for this signage during a site visit (performance verification), so I don't think you'll be able to point to the crosswalk guide for support.
