Healthcare-v2009 WEp1:Water use reduction

Outpatient Water use

Hi, I noticed in the WEp1 LEED online form that outpatients fixture group have zero use of Flush and Flow fixtures by default! Is it OK to keep it as zero water use for outpatients, or you would recommend estimating their use? I typically would have estimated it similarly to visitor use. Any feedback from Healthcare projects who undertook this water calculation exercise would be of great help. Thank you

My forms show that the default water use is that there is restroom use for every two outpatients. This seems reasonable. You would only want to adjust from the default if you knew that there was a medical reason for increased restroom use (such as maternity care). You will need to provide an explanation if you deviate from the default. Keep in mind that you may need to adjust usage numbers if men have access to any restrooms without urinals (e.g. single user unisex restrooms).

Thank you Mara, The problem was only in the LEED WEp1 sample form I was using, apparently there is an error in it for Outpatients, but it is working well in the Leedonline project form
