CS-v4 EAc2:Optimize energy performance

In- or exclude energy use of servers (tenants) in C&S for a datacenter

We are targeting LEED certification for a new Datacenter. Since there are no tenant agreements yet, we using the Core & Shell scheme.

Although we are modelling the heat loads of the servers to determine cooling capacity/energy use, we are not sure if we have to take the energy use of the servers itselve into account since this is not part of the core & shell certification and there is no option to influence its energy use.

Does anyone have experience with this?

You must include the energy use of the tenant space into account. There is detailed guidance in the Reference Guide on the inclusion of data centers in your models.
