Hello to all,
This credit requires the 75% of parking spaces under cover.
1. So this percents refers to parking spaces and not to parking area (m2/ft2), right?
2. What if I have different types of parking areas. For example I have a parking for motorbikes and cars? For example The parking area for motorbikes is 800 m2 and consists of 180 spaces. This parking will be without cover. Must these 180 spaces for motorbikes take part at the percentage calculation?
3. In my project I have some areas that are designated like " parking expansion". Also in the future (around after 10 years of the construction) mthis areas will be used for parking. Must these spaces be included at the calculations?
Thank you

1. Yes, this credit looks at spaces, not parking area.
2. Motorcycle spaces should not be counted towards the parking capacity used for credit compliance.
3. LEED Certification is a snapshot in time. Therefore, only the spaces included at the time of Certification must be included. The only time LEED worries about future is in SSc Open Space, where you have to confirm that the open space will remain for the life of the project. That being said, I would ensure that the plans that you submit do not mention the future parking expansion just to avoid the issue (even GBCI reviewers make mistakes and could question it even though they shouldn't - you'd be able to fight it, but I'd just try to avoid that issue in the first place).

Thanks for your answer Dustin,
Do you have any suggestion if I have to include at the parking areas following
1) Parking lots for Buses?
2) Taxis waiting areas? My project is an Airport terminal and I have around 160 spaces for a taxi to wait.
3) As, I mentioned above my project is an Airport Terminal. So what about the parking areas for airport handling vehicles ?
Thank you
