CS-v4 EQc1:Enhanced indoor air quality strategies

Option 2 :Only CO2 sensors

The project is totally mechanically ventilated .I am choosing adding CO2 sensors in dense areas for option 2 for additional points .What should be done in other small spaces ?Can we only add CO2 sensors in dense areas to qualify for otion 2 or we have to choose another strategy for other spaces?

Hi Dina, You only need CO2 sensors in densely occupied spaces for option 2, typically as defined by furniture plans and the 25 people to 1000SF metric. Please note however that many people confuse these sensors with CO2 sensors in return air ducts that are geared for demand control. These sensors are not the same thing. These are wall mounted in the space with visible or audible alarms.

Thanks a lot Michelle for highlighting the CO2 sensors issue but I want to you about something in specific , if I implement this in dense areas , is this enogh or I need to add another measure for non-dense areas inside the same building?

Hi Dina, You only need to address densely occupied areas. You do not need to add any other measures in non-dense areas to comply with this option.
