The credit option 2 calls for a land trust or conservation organization. We are evaluating a project outside the US and want to understand what is an acceptable conservation organization?

Hi Luis, based on the Reference Guide you'll need to show that:
1. The land trust / conservation organization is "nationally or locally recognized". I interpret this to essentially mean that you need to work with a reputable organization. You could consider working with a recognized organization that does work internationally, like the World Land Trust or Conservation International. You'll need to provide a description of the organization's qualifications and mission to further demonstrate that the org is reputable.
2. The land that receives the financial support must be within 100 miles of the LEED project site. This helps ensure that you're supporting land that is ecologically similar to the land where your project is located (much like the ecoregion requirement for projects in the US).
Hope this helps!
