A few of us at SERA recently connected with a couple of women in the tech industry who are looking to solve sustainability issues with new software. They're in the "problem definition" phase and are eager to hear from SDL members about the big issues around operational and embodied carbon that we're tackling. Dasha and Steph are product leaders who have recently turned their focus to the building decarbonization space. Specifically, they are interested in helping firms and their customers navigate the various incentive programs available to help reduce the cost of emission-reducing investments (solar, heat pumps, tankless water heaters, water conserving systems, etc.). Today, finding and applying for these incentive programs is a time-consuming, decentralized process. Steph and Dasha are looking to create a designated platform to help streamline this flow to reduce operational cost and encourage more customers to leverage these incentives. To build a platform that can benefit everyone, they need to first understand the pain points architecture firms experience when it comes to finding, applying, and redeeming these incentives. They also would like to hear directly from you what features would be most beneficial.
